It’s been a long time….

Hi Crafty Friends~

It has been WAY too long since I last wrote.. I have been getting my stuff organized in my office as well as enjoying some much needed family time with my favorite three people-my boys and my hubby. We went to Utah which many of you know is the SCRAPBOOKING CAPITOL of the US!!!  OH MY!  That is all I can say! Sadly, many of the scrapbook stores I had planned on visiting have gone out of business. The economy has been pretty bad for all of us. I did pick up some great buys at the SEI Outlet store as well as some other great stores I ran into along the way.
In the next month or so-hopefully MUCH SOONER-I will start to post my creations again. I am hoping to create at least once a week something new! I am really itching to get creative and have so many ideas on what I want to do i just don’t know where to start! I hope everyone is enjoying their spring and had a very happy holiday! Thank you so much for visiting-I really appreciate you taking the time and for leaving me comments 🙂

Have a wonderful week! 🙂

Basketball Card

Good Morning Crafty Friends!
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday! I was asked to create a custom card for our basketball coach as a thank you for all of his hard work and dedication. I used my gypsy to add the basketball team name to the jersey and then cut out the basket ball uniform as well as the basketball and shadow of the basketball. I cut out the letters, number sign and number out of the same red that I used for the uniform. The background paper with the net I had in my stash and added it to the card front. This was the final card. I hope you enjoy it and thanks so much for visiting today! Have a wonderful day and may today and every day take you on A CREATIVE JOURNEY!

Digital Scrapbook Page

Hi Creative Friends!

I love this raining gloomy weather! I live in California and am from the Mid West so when it’s like this.. it feels like home 🙂 I had a great time at the seven digital scrapbooking classes I took at the Scrapbook Expo in Anaheim from Patty The Digital Scrapbook Teacher. My brain was on digital overload but I really learned a lot! I can’t wait to play some more but I thought I would post my first digital layout and see what you thought. The templates and most of the designs are from Patty. She has AMAZING classes and if you like to take classes in the comfort of your own home, you can do that ONLINE! She also has videos and a book that you can watch/read and do it on your own! The picture in the below layout is of both of my boys (outside left and outside right) and one in the middle is of their best friend that they have known for 10 years+.. They really are just like brothers… GOOFY as can be 🙂  Have a wonderful day!

An FAST altered frame :)

Hi FANTASTIC followers!

I hope you are enjoying your Sunday. I am! I am sitting here with my family-although we are all doing our own individual things, we are together and I just love being with my “boys” (My husband is in there too!) Sooo onto the crafty 🙂 I had created this for a friend of mine.. It was one of those if you post on my Facebook page, I will make something for you before the year is over.. Well, I did it! I mailed it and she received it BEFORE the new year… but not too long before! So here it is…. I will describe what I did underneath the frame 🙂

I took one of the Michael’s $1 frames and used a sponge brush and painted it with a light coat of Claudine Hellmuth’s sable brown paint. I LOVE HER PAINT! It’s like BUTTER – rich and creamy! I then used a piece of cream lace ribbon and glued it to the frame. I then took the word treasure from my word stash and glued it to a piece of textured green card stock and glued the word to it. I took a few a few pearls and put them under that, pop dotted it and placed it on the frame 🙂 Last but not least, I took the rosette ribbon and realized it wasn’t quite the color I wanted it to be. I took Glimmer Mist and sprayed a non stick craft sheet. I then took the ribbon and soaked up the color and let it dry for about a half hour. I then glued it to the top of the lace ribbon and there ya go 🙂 Pretty simple but I love how it came out. My friend wanted to put a picture in it but she isn’t sure what she is going to put in there yet. Thanks for coming by and have a wonderful day!
