September New Release, Blog Hop and PRIZES

It’s the September Stamp Release, Blog Hop & GIVEAWAY!!!

WELCOME!! If you just happened to pop on by and say hello, how lucky are you??! We are having our blog hop and giveaway! Welcome to the monthly NEW RELEASES for A Creative Journey with Melissa. Every SECOND WEDNESDAY of the month, we will be featuring our newly released stamp sets and products. For those of you that may not have done a blog hop previously don’t worry! We will be HAPPY to walk you through it! You should have come to me from Marie. If you didn’t, you would want to start at the beginning of the blog hop with Brandie. You will go to each person’s blog in order. Read what they have written, enjoy their work and leave a comment. That is how a blog hop typically runs. In some cases you may have to do more than that. For this blog hop, you would need to become a follower of each blog and answer the question on each blog. As you have seen, our UBER amazingly talented Design Team has created some amazing projects for you to enjoy. Not only have we highlighted the two new stamp sets Celebrating Judaism and Fall and Winter Holiday Sentiments but we have also highlighted our recently released, amazingly cute and versatile Everyday Alphabet stamp sets throughout this hop. Again, please be sure to hop along to each participant, follow their blog and answer the question they have posted correctly to be entered to win the prizes.

And the prizes are….

Fall and Winter Holiday Sentiments stamp set

Celebrate Judaism stamp set

Sizzix Embossing folder set

This stamp set is the perfect addition to your holiday cards and party decor. If you are having a holiday party, why not make or purchase some cupcakes for desert and add a little festive flag to dress it up? I simply stamped the sentiment on a strip of paper, folded the paper in half, glued it to the toothpick, cut the triangle out for the flag and popped it into the cupcake! This cupcake was chocolate chip mint. My son Austin can’t wait to eat it! He really wanted to eat it BEFORE I took the pictures…. He ALMOST DID!

This card was created using the Tie Dye and Splatter stamp set for the purple background design and the Happy Halloween sentiment is from the Fall and Winter Holiday Sentiments stamp set.

I have been a VERY BUSY BUSY GIRL!!!!!!!!

GOOD MORNING ALL!

And yes, it is morning.. it’s almost 4 AM but I usually do my most creative work at this time.. the house is SOOO quiet! At any rate, I saw a posting on a Facebook friend of mine’s (Mommys Crafty Side) stating she was looking for items to be donated to raise money. WHAT AN AMAZING COMPANY TO DO THIS!  If you are interested, I am SURE she would be thrilled to have more donations for the various charities she works with!!
I spoke to Janine (a sweetheart to deal with!) and really, she had me at “need”! I offered to create some items that will be up for auction to raise money for Relay for Life, Team Garden of Hope. I created an album as well as a number of cards. The album I used was a SEI kit but I never follow directions so I created my own album with some of their stuff and some of mine 🙂 All of the creations I made will be placed up for auction to raise money for Team Garden of Hope and I was truly honored to be able to participate in it. Below are pictures of my creations. I hope you like them and I would love to hear your feedback! Have a WONDERFUL MONDAY and somehow I am going to go to HURRICANE HARBOR
(a water park) this morning… like in a few hours… wish me luck! LOL

Father’s Day Golfing Card

Happy Tuesday! With Father’s Day right around the corner, I thought I would show you one of the cards that I have made. I originally started to make this for my husband a few weeks ago for Father’s Day. I used my Gypsy by Provo Craft (and my Cricut of course) along with the Wild Card cartridge and Paper Dolls for Everyday cartridge. I also used a real golf tee, a red glaze pen, shimmery green card stock, light green and white card stock from my stash. I had (to my surprise) an overwhelming response to it so I ended up putting them up for sale as opposed to sending them out. I almost forgot to keep one for myself! LOL Fortunately, I did keep one so my husband will get one and this is a picture of it 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful day 🙂
