Card Base

Patterned Mat for card

Paper to stamp sentiment on

Scissors

Foam Squares

Twine

Paper to punch out hearts

Heart Punch

Ticket punch

Adhesive

Rhinestones

Ink

This is the SUPER EASY CARD creation we are going to make today.

This is the perfect card to bring to a corned beef and cabbage St. Patrick’s Day celebration! Wouldn’t this be perfect to bring along with a nice bottle of wine? YES!!

First, you will want to take out your heart punch as well as your paper.

Using your punch with the shape side facing you, punch out your shapes from your paper.

Cut out a stem for your four leafed clover from your paper.

Take out your A Creative Journey with Melissa’s Spring and Summer Holiday Celebrations Stamp Set, ink, Stamp Block and paper to stamp your sentiment on.

Peel off your Happy St. Patrick’s Day sentiment off of your stamp set sheet and place it on your stamp block.

Ink your Happy St. Patrick’s Day sentiment.

Stamp your sentiment on your paper in the left upper corner. This will allow you plenty of space for your four leafed clover.

Take out your adhesive and four leafed clover pieces. Place adhesive on the stem of your four leafed clover.

Put adhesive on the hearts for your four leafed clover.

Place the pieces of your four leafed clover on your sentiment paper.

This is what the four leafed clover looks like close up once the pieces have been put together.

Take out your rhinestone and place one in the middle of your four leafed clover.

Take out the ticket punch and punch the left side of your paper.

Using your ticket punch, punch your base card on the left side of the card.

Be sure to punch both the front of the card as well as the back of the card. When it is closed together it will be punched through on the right side of the card.

Place foam squares on the back of the mat for the card base and remove the protective paper.

Adhere your decorative paper on your card base for your SUPER EASY CARD.

Place your foam squares on your sentiment paper and remove the protective paper backing.

Put your sentiment paper with your four leafed clover on your card base of your SUPER EASY CARD.

Take out your white twine and wrap your twine around your SUPER EASY CARD. I wrapped it around the card three times.

Tie a bow with your twine and cut any excess twine off.

Here are the completed creations of your SUPER EASY CARD!

Embossing: Creating Colorful Background Paper

Embossing: Creating Colorful Background Paper is what we have for you today. Using heat embossing and distress ink, you can create amazing backgrounds for any project!

Last week I introduced some of you and reminded others of a simple yet awesome technique, heat embossing.

If you would like to check out the detailed tutorial, please go HERE.  I am so excited to show you the amazing way you can blend different colors to create a custom look for any background! Here we go!

Supplies Needed

I Just Love You Stamp Set by ACJwM

Acrylic Stamp Block

Distress Ink

Versamark Ink (Watermark Ink)

Heat Embossing Gun

White Card Stock

Color Blending Tool

Paper to cover work space or mat

White Embossing Powder

Hand Wipes

Paper Towels

Here is the sample for Creating Colorful Background Paper.

This is a close up of the coloring shades using the distress in for Creating Colorful Background Paper.

To begin, take out your versamark ink, White paper, I Just Love You Stamp Set by ACJwM and your Acrylic Stamp Block. Place your chosen stamps on your acrylic block.

Protect your work surface by using a piece of paper or a mat. Ink your images with the versamark ink and stamp onto your white paper. You will faintly see the image on your white paper.

Take out your embossing powder, sprinkle it on the white stamped paper and tap off excess embossing powder.

Return the remaining embossing powder to your embossing powder container.

For this tutorial, I created three different looks for my creations. These have not been exposed to the heat embossing tool yet.

Take out your heat embossing tool and emboss each of the papers you have created.

You will now be applying ink to begin Creating Colorful Background Paper. Start by taking your choice of the embossed paper, Distress Ink and Color Blending Tool. Apply your choice of distress ink onto the Color Blending Tool.

In a circular motion (I have found this works best) apply ink to your white paper.

This is what the paper looks like once it had been completely colored.

Take out your second color of distress ink and apply it in a circular motion.

Fill in the areas in which you want them to show more of the secondary color also blending it along the way.

Here we completed Creating Colorful Background Paper colored paper using distressed ink.

What you created  you went from white paper to this lovely shaded paper!

Here is a secondary creation using two different colors.

This third creation is using three different distress ink colors.

Here are all of the creations I made Creating Colorful Background Paper with Heat Embossing.
