Packaging Recycled Craft: Making Holiday Gift Card Holders
Today we are creating a Packaging Recycled Craft: Making Holiday Gift Card Holders. I love to create different gift card holders. I am so often giving gift cards for birthdays, holidays and special occasions so there are numerous uses for them. Wouldn’t you like to have a few ideas in your back pocket? Then you are going to LOVE this!
Here are the supplies you will need:
You’re Snow Wonderful Stamp Set
Manual Die Cut Machine
Sizzix Die 658258 Pillow box with labels by Tim Holtz
Strap, tag and mat papers
Clear packaging material
Ink
Tag punch
Corner Rounder

Take out your manual die cut machine, recycled packaging material and die.

Place your material on the die ensuring all areas to be cut are covered. Run the die through the machine.

This is what the pillow box looks like after it has been cut.

Fold all of the scored areas on the pillow box.

Place strong adhesive on the flap of the pillow box as shown.

Line up the flap to create the enclosure. You can also run a brayer on top of it afterwards to ensure its adhesion. Set aside.
Take out your paper, ink and You’re Snow Wonderful stamp set.

Take out your tag punch and punch your tag out.

Using the corner rounder punch, corner round the mat for the tag

Place adhesive on the back of the tag and adhere to the mat for the tag.

Take out the paper strap for the pillow box and apply adhesive to create a band for the pillow box.

Adhere the strap to create an enclosed band.
Adhere the tag to the band only using a line of adhesive down the middle to allow movement when placing it on the band.

This is the side view.

Your creation is complete!

Thank you for joining us today. I really appreciate all of the kind words, love and support I have been shown due to my father’s passing. It is greatly appreciated. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial and hope you enjoyed going on A Creative Journey with Melissa.
